Final Districting of LHSAA Schools
At the third classification hearing on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, the
districting plans for Classes B, 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A received final approval and were
adopted for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 school years by the LHSAA Executive Committee.
As you know, on November 15, 2006, the Executive Committee approved and
adopted the final districting plan for Class © for the same years.
As a formality, the Executive Committee approved and adopted the entire
classification and basic districting plan for the association, making it complete for the
next two years.
Special districts for applicable boys’ and girls’ sports will be finalized and adopted
at the 2006 LHSAA Annual Convention.
If you feel the classification process can be improved and have any
recommendations, I encourage you to contact your executive committee members or me.
I want to commend my entire staff to the LHSAA membership for their assistance
in the classification process.
My sincere thanks also go to the Executive Committee members for their efforts
and input.
I also thank all LHSAA school representatives appearing and giving valuable input
at the hearings.
