  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes: Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
  • NAIA Eligibility Center: Welcome to the NAIA Eligibility Center! Each year, NAIA colleges and universities award $450 million to 60,000 student-athletes. With that aid comes a great education, a personal touch, and a shot at one of 23 NAIA national championships. Make sure your students have a chance to play in the NAIA. This September, the NAIA Eligibility Center – www.PlayNAIA.org – will start registering high school students for NAIA eligibility. To play NAIA sports in 2011-12, every student must be registered with the NAIA Eligibility Center.
  • National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA): The purpose of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is to promote the education and development of students through intercollegiate athletic participation. Member institutions, although varied and diverse, share a common commitment to high standards and to the principle that participation in athletics serves as an integral part of the total educational process.
  • National Collegiate Athletic Association : The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a voluntary organization through which the nation's colleges and universities govern their athletics programs. It is comprised of institutions, conferences, organizations and individuals committed to the best interests, education and athletics participation of student-athletes. This section of the Web site contains more details about the Association, its goals and members, and corporate partnerships that help support programs for student-athletes.
  • National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS): The LHSAA is a member in good standing with the NFHS. From its offices in Indianapolis, Indiana, the NFHS serves its 50 member state high school athletic/activity associations, plus the District of Columbia. The NFHS publishes playing rules in 16 sports for boys and girls competition and administers fine arts programs in speech, theater, debate and music. It provides a variety of program initiatives that reach the 18,500 high schools and over 11 million students involved in athletic and activity programs.

  • NCAA Eligibilty Center: The NCAA Eligibility Center is an initiative that succeeds the current NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, the eligibility center will certify the academic and amateur credentials of college-bound student athletes who wish to compete in Division I or II athletics.

  • The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals : The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) and the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) are teaming up to help reduce the spread of H1N1, also known as the swine flu. Visit the DHH website to get up-to-date information regarding H1N1 and seasonal flu.
  • U Drink U Drive U Walk : The main objective of the program is to increase youth awareness about the dangers of underage drinking and driving. Each year members of the Attorney General's staff conduct school regional trainings, and participate in community events. Training students, teachers, parents and community leaders is key. The Attorney General's Office provides U Drink, U Drive, U Walk awareness materials like T-shirts, key rings, pens, book marks, book covers, stickers and cups in order to help students create action plans and implement the program in their communities.
