  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes: Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
  • National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS): The LHSAA is a member in good standing with the NFHS. From its offices in Indianapolis, Indiana, the NFHS serves its 50 member state high school athletic/activity associations, plus the District of Columbia. The NFHS publishes playing rules in 16 sports for boys and girls competition and administers fine arts programs in speech, theater, debate and music. It provides a variety of program initiatives that reach the 18,500 high schools and over 11 million students involved in athletic and activity programs.

  • NCAA Eligibilty Center: The NCAA Eligibility Center is an initiative that succeeds the current NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, the eligibility center will certify the academic and amateur credentials of college-bound student athletes who wish to compete in Division I or II athletics.

  • The Jason Foundation: The Jason Foundation, Inc. (JFI) is a nationally recognized provider of educational curriculums and training programs for students, educators/youth workers and parents. JFI’s programs build an awareness of the national health problem of youth suicide, educate participants in recognizing the “warning signs or signs of concern”, provide information on identifying at-risk behavior and elevated risk groups, and direct participants to local resources to deal with possible suicidal ideation. JFI’s student curriculums are presented in the “third-person” perspective – how to help a friend.   • The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals : The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) and the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) are teaming up to help reduce the spread of H1N1, also known as the swine flu. Visit the DHH website to get up-to-date information regarding H1N1 and seasonal flu.
  • U Drink U Drive U Walk : The main objective of the program is to increase youth awareness about the dangers of underage drinking and driving. Each year members of the Attorney General's staff conduct school regional trainings, and participate in community events. Training students, teachers, parents and community leaders is key. The Attorney General's Office provides U Drink, U Drive, U Walk awareness materials like T-shirts, key rings, pens, book marks, book covers, stickers and cups in order to help students create action plans and implement the program in their communities.
  • Universal Cheerleaders Association: Varsity Brands, Inc. is the leader in cheerleading and dance apparel, camps, and competitions. Uniforms divisions include Varsity Spirit Fashions and Cheerleader and DanzTeam. Educational divisions include Universal Cheereladers Association, National Cheerleaders Association, Universal Dance Association, National Dance Alliance, United Spirit Association, American Cheerleaders Association, Cheerleading Technique Camps, and V!ROC.   • WBCA Pink Zone: Start the new year off by getting involved in a wonderful cause which will bring coaches, students, families and friends together for a common cause. Get active and help create breast cancer awareness through the WBCA Pink Zone! The WBCA Pink Zone is a designated window during each basketball season where schools and organizations across the country are encouraged to participate by raising awareness and/or funds for women’s cancers. For the 2008-09 season, the WBCA Pink Zone will take place February 13-22, 2009. The LHSAA strongly encourages every high school in Louisiana that participates in interscholastic basketball to get into the WBCA Pink Zone by dedicating the proceeds of a home basketball game (during February 13-22) to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
